What About Regrets?

Meandering river surrounded by mountains

How often do you catch yourself regretting something you should have done, but you didn’t? Or something you shouldn’t have done but you did it anyways?

You revealed your secret or you didn’t.
You accepted a new job offer or you didn’t.
You moved to a new place or you didn’t.
You dissolved a romantic attachment or you didn’t.
You ventured out – explored new lands you’ve always dreamt of
or you didn’t… not yet.
You opened your heart or you kept it closed.
You allowed the kiss to unfold or you sealed your lips and bowed out.
You picked the apple just on time or you waited too long
and the sun-ripened fruit got snatched by the wrong .
You said I’m sorry or you didn’t… not yet.

You are exactly where you want to be, who you want to be, how you want to be. And if you think you’re not (not yet), because you generated too many regrets, you are still exactly where you want to be. Also, you can still get exactly where you want to go, with more ease if you are willing to drop your regrets that hold you back.

You think, there for you are. I am, therefore you are. Being right here, right now, because when you are – fully here and now – there is no space for regrets.

Learn to strengthen your faculty of presence – become fully engrossed in the present moment.

Feel the wind breeze on your skin – fully.
Smell something that you like, something that brings up a sense of freshness and happiness to you – freshly peeled orange, fresh bread, the scent of roses, sea breeze, strawberries, coffee. Whatever it may be.
Watch the birds flying, the squirrels jumping, branches of the tree swaying in the wind.
Touch your arm, massage your neck, kiss your own hands!

Bring your attention to something that anchors your senses here and now, so your thoughts may follow, so you can bring your mind home, here and now – yes, this is home!

Or simply – read these few lines totally engrossed – the lines I have put together with my fullest attention, for you, my dear fellow traveler, wholeheartedly.

Life is like a meandering river, full of life, ever-changing. Never can you step in the same river twice. Never are you the same person again. And so is your life journey – continuously morphing. You can never repeat the same moment twice, hence, try to live it fully, whatever that fully may be for you. Don’t compare your life with someone else or with your past self – don’t get lost in comparing, judging, regretting. Accept your life and every single moment that brought you here & now. Be grateful for everything that happened or didn’t happen in your life.

Why? Because in this very moment of time you are the sum of all the moments that have brought you to this point in life. A culmination of all the bits that have made you the way you are.

I would not be here and now if one single twinkle was left out. It doesn’t matter how I perceived that moment in the past – but it matters now, because although that moment cannot be changed, my current perception of that moment can.

And there is nothing else more powerful than the realization that everything is perfect, just the way it is.

Health, sickness, wealth, poverty, happiness, sadness, regrets, pain, anger, suffering, acceptance. Yes, even regrets are part of who we are in this very moment. Even regrets are perfect as soon as I am able to perfectly accept them and accept myself for having them. And if I struggle doing so, I ask myself a question: ‘Do they serve me well? Are they life enriching companions? Do they bring me peace, joy, a smile to my face? Or do they make me cry and cringe? Being soaked in my own regrets what happens to me? Does it take away my ability to be more present, from living my life fully here & now? Do I need really them? Is it time to let go?’

What is your emotional state right now? How does it feel having to experience these feelings? Look into yourself, be honest with yourself – no judgement. Take a deep breath, hold your breath for a few moments, allow your thoughts and emotions to sink together, then… breathe it all out. Pufff, all gone. With a sigh or two if needed be… take a deep, long fresh breath. Do this motion a few times, as many times as you think & feel you need to, and then, take a few moments to be fully present with yourself. Nobody else but your own self.

There’s not much else left. Acceptance, knowing you are here and now, whoever, wherever you are, whatever you have or not. Simplicity. Feel and recognize yourself fully, be grateful for being alive, as you enter the flow and you ride with the force of your own, powerful, life-giving breath. Simply, by being, remaining aware, for as long as you can. Move your fingers, your toes, your nose, your legs, shoulders, smack your lips, blink with your eyes – just because you can.

What an empowering thought. ‘I can!‘ So simple, taken for granted – yet – when I realize that no stone, tree, or building has that same ability & gift as I have, it makes me smile, I feel empowered and grateful to be what, where, how, and who I am.

As human beings we are blessed to dwell in perfect human bodies, we have brilliant minds, capacity to move, think, feel, sense, love, spill our hearts out. I can scratch myself when I feel an itch – and I am the only one in this whole wide world who knows that I have an itch, only I know where and how to scratch myself to sooth my itch. Hence, I know what freedom is, even if it has to start by noticing an innocent itch that never goes unnoticed and unattended. At leas for me.

You know that very well, we all have that in common, that’s why it made you chuckle and smile. Say ‘thank you life’, next time you get the pleasure to scratch yourself again!

Fundamentally, life is good. Rivers flow, just like your precious life. We are human beings – what a miracle and force of nature, such an incredible potential, so many possibilities at any given time in life.

One final conscious breath, lungs filled up with fresh air, a short pause, and out I go following my exhale. In with the new, out with the old! It’s the only way forward whether you think it or not. I am, therefore you are. I did what I could, and I didn’t what I couldn’t.

Allow life to flow, remain as present as you can so you can respond accordingly at any given moment in time, do your best, and use your time wisely & fully & well.

Life is precious. It’s a good life. So, let it flow!

A Good Day

Bodega Bay - Pacific Ocean, California

What is a good day?

What does it depend on? Is it what I do, who I’m with, where I go on that particular day? Is it a state of my mind? Perhaps a combination of several factors woven together?

I take a deep breath, I close my eyes, I connect to my heart, to feel and see clearer, with a composed state of mind, with an open heart.

I don’t think it’s only the state of mind that makes it a good day – for me. It’s having a lot to do with the state of my heart. I heard the other day, from a close friend of mine, that the heart is continuously expanding and contracting, like an accordion. There must be some truth to that. Every cloud has a silver lining. We ebb and we flow, continuously, yet something remains never changing – the part of us that is uplifting the instrument that creates all the music – or the noise.

I want to know more! How do I flow through different stages of life, throughout years, months, weeks, days, hours, moments? What is the pattern, how does it work, how does it go, how am I influencing the quality of my day with the state of my mind and the openness of my heart?

A river of questions… how fast and where is this river wanting to flow? Towards the ocean, of course, I say to myself, with a smile.

The very notion of tapping into my higher Self is a journey without destination. I represent that journey and I am the destination; both, at the same time, in the same moment. When the mind and the higher Self are aligned – my heart remains expanded and for me that makes it a good day. I try to stay out of the way with my “worldly I”– well, as much as I possibly can – I try to lead my life by being the Self, allowing the mind to follow, assisting me with daily chores, decision making processes, practicalities of life.

People in our lives will inevitably end up probing our ways, using their faculty of mind to an extent we allow them to. When you love someone, your heart is open, you give them access to yourself, hence you become accessible to interference – to a certain extent – you have to decide.

Sometimes the interference is valuable, it adds clarity to your state of mind, enabling you to see events in your life as they are. It all depends where the other person is coming from. From the state of their higher Self or their mind? Is their intention selfless, pure from the heart, or is there a selfish, manipulative motive that made them open their mouth, either consciously or subconsciously? How do you recognize that to ensure you remain faithful to who you are?

Whenever you feel any notion of abrupt disturbance, try not to react instantly, learn to pause between your thoughts, allow at least 10 heart beats and a few breaths to pass in between, so you may fall in tune with your own truth. Work it out, before you act it out. This way you can respond, not react. And respond profoundly and powerfully you will!

You see, mind likes to jump like a monkey. It is always there, ready to prance and spring, it has many persistent habits. Your heart is your anchor. Heart is continuously beating from the same place, sometimes faster, at times slower. Intensity is it’s only variable. How fast it beats you can influence with the power of your breath and your mind. When responding and making decisions, try to first tap into your heart beat, observe where you are and don’t make any hasty decision when your heart is beating too fast.

Wait for it to calm down, so you can catch the silver lining, enter the flow and at that moment you will grasp your truth – you will know exactly how to respond. Decisions that matter in your life, should originate from the calm state of mind and an open heart. Following this principle, you will notice that your mind follows your higher Self, willingly. It will all fall in place – watch and become your own witness. This can also be one of the ways you can start exercising your self-awareness – if you will.

Life often presents obstacles when it’s time to move on, but that too is part of the journey. You will be challenged to remain in alliance with your true self.

Places we decide to visit, people we surround ourselves with, activities and habits we choose to cultivate and engage with – they matter. The more in tune I become with myself, the easier I navigate through life. Life becomes simpler and I become more skillful. Both matters, the world we carry inside as well as the external manifestation of our life that makes us who we are. Both should align for the powerful insights to arise and give us a clear direction forward.

The greatest craftspeople in this world live & create while being fully aligned with their higher Self, composed state of mind, an open heart, and oodles of skills to create a masterpiece. And so we create!

We Live, We Love, We Learn

Soaring Eagle

Our hearts are incredibly strong, and that’s exactly what makes them equally vulnerable.

The magic, the power that holds love together is very delicate. Yet, its unusual strength appears to be of one single invisible thread.

Try not to temper with such fragile, life force energies. It causes disturbance in the heart. All it takes is one small alteration and the blessing can be gone.

Such a fine-tuned frequency, razor sharp clarity is easily gone if one does not fully surrender. If we try to interfere with the forces beyond our understanding. It frightens me – that a tiny mind influenced modification can cause such a turmoil.

Love has the power to heal,
to release the tears of joy, dread, or grief
;
The intensity of the heart,

makes the feelings alive.

We play, we resist,
we surrender to its magic.
We stumble, we learn
to grow wiser, stronger, more loving.

When I start to quiver,
if my voice begins to shiver
and I end up in tears,
hold me closer to your heart, my heart.

I hold you and you hold me.
until tears dry out.
Until it’s time to let go.

My fire, your fire;
My kiss, your kiss.

I am your part, as you are a part of me.
The bond, the thread between the two is strong;
It runs deep.

Come closer,
take a sip.

It’s so easy to forget, to get lost in this world filled with mind driven activities, goals, expectations, distorted priorities, packed schedules, disturbances, jealousy, resentment, crude power, fear mongering, acidic anger, caustic sadness, chaos, and confusion. In this day and age, it often feels, as if almost everyone is so love deprived, they just want to squeeze out every ounce of you once they sniff out the irresistible life force. As soon as they get a chance. Can’t blame them. It’s what starvation does to us, human beings with gentle hearts and mighty souls.

Love is a free spirit. It commands our full attention; it requires us to surrender. Love can never be managed or conquered. Stay humble, forever grateful, be present, trust entirely. When you learn to surrender to love, it gives you wings. You grow stronger, see clearly, you simply know. May we all rise above and soar like eagles across the endless blue sky.

Desires, Cravings, and Love

Rama & Sita

What is desire? What drives our desires? Why do we sometimes get blinded by desires and lost in desires? What is the root of human desire?

If there was no desire I would not be here and now. I would not be alive. Could desire be the foundation of life itself?

On a daily basis, desires manifest through many expressions in life. For example, food, love, sex, solitude, touch, a kiss, connection, high speed, prestige, status, this woman, that man, danger, extreme sports, productivity, excitement, attention, winning, losing, drugs, alcohol, arts, sports, pain, pleasure, a combination of several things together that amplify our experience in life. It often leads to so called dopamine spike.

What is the common denominator of all these expressions of desire? To feel alive!

I get attracted to something that stokes my inner – possibly – latent fire, which I am not able to stoke myself otherwise, hence I need a certain external stimulus to feel more alive.

Are there different kinds of desires? Such as healthy vs unhealthy desire? What happens when desire turns into obsession, or even addiction? When it takes over and you lose yourself, your mind, even your life?

What about healthy desire? The one that stokes just enough fire to still make you feel alive in relationship towards yourself and the rest of the world, and yet you maintain perfectly balanced, content, and composed.

Desire to feel alive rings a bell. The more disconnected I am from my true self, the more extreme becomes my sport.

As if my cells are longing, yearning, needing for something that is not here. As if I am missing a part of me and I just don’t know how to rekindle and reconnect. It’s like – sometimes – I feel hungry, yet it is a very different kind of hunger compared to being hungry for food. It doesn’t matter how much I would eat and whatever I would consume I could still not satisfy these deep cravings, this deep hunger that can drive me to the edge if unsatisfied. There is no material food in this world that could satisfy that mysterious hunger.

It feels like when you try your best to grasp the air and no matter how deep is your breath, or however much oxygen is out there, you can’t get enough of it. It’s just not there.

Have you ever experienced that?

Food is a big part of human existence. We need sustenance to survive, to thrive, to be healthy, to receive and convert the required fuel so our beautiful bodies can operate, and our souls can express. Yet, we often confuse our hunger with the inner most hunger that nourishes our being, our soul and our cells – with hungry for food. Food is the easiest, most accessible, and closest type of satisfaction most of us often resort to.

Once I grasped this subtle distinction between hunger for love vs. hunger for food it hit me quite hard. The realization that there is no such thing as compensation for love – the most important nourishment for all the cells vibrating in our body.

Love vibrates at a certain frequency and only that frequency is able to penetrate deep inside, to infuse us, to sooth us, so that the whole fabric of what we’re made of gets nourished.

Desire, hunger, love, craving, obsession, struggle, destruction or liberation.  Our life begins out of desire, the first thing we experience when we’re born is hunger – both hunger for food and hunger for love. When either of the two is out of balance we struggle. Imbalance can lead towards variations of destruction or freedom.

The only savior in case of imbalance is love.

Being around people we trust and love, who reciprocate our love is one of the greatest blessings in life. It’s like magic, but much better. It’s natural, effortless; the ease and abundance of being in the moment with your loved ones is the most precious and fulfilling experience in life. Learn to recognize ‘transactional’ types of people, so you don’t get disappointed. Surround yourself with people you love, who love you. People you can ask for or offer help when needed most. Recognize those people and be grateful. Every present moment filled with love is a gift, it’s the only true gift that never expires, the most precious gift you can pass on.

Love & Life

Sloth sitting on a branch

Love is a force binding every atom together, reminding us about the meaning of life.

We start sensing the depth of human potential when we surrender to love.

There is no way to force love to come, to occur. The invitation however, is welcome. Love is always around, and our heart are its prime recipient. Love begins to flow through our heart when our heart is willing, ready, and open to both – giving and receiving love.

When? There are instances in lives of individuals when they had to endure many years or decades without experiencing the depth of love they knew it’s was possible to experience. Deep inside, one never knows when the lightning will strike, move us from inside out and outside in, tease out the deepest tears, banish any empty fears, make us quiver because of the certainty of the most profound knowable unknown. Because of knowing what we have always known.

Love has the most unique power to heal, to penetrate our soul, to nourish, to permanently alter our state of being – unlike any medicine, treatment, food, or drug we have ever received in our life for a medium called money, crypto, or gold.

Love is a currency and a value in its own right. Love simply is. There is no such thing as a tradeoff. Love flows freely, it can never be captured, conquered, divided, or altered in any shape or form. Not even in the name of god. Love is unaccountable for, infinite, it is superior, it is forever. Love is available to us all, always in abundance. Love itself is unconditional.

Love makes you grateful for being alive. Love turns your body into a bunch of vibrating atoms and electrons, morphing you into a magnetic force. It is so much more than you have ever dreamt of being possible. The whole existence bows down to love. Love is the quintessential, primordial force that keeps us all together. Like the ocean and its waves, the rose with its scent, the air and its breeze, the honey on your lips. Inseparable, just like love and life.

Never lose your hope, keep the fire burning, that flame that gave you life, the fire that enables you to stay alive. Whoever you may love… your partner, your brother, sister, parents, friends, your dog, your cat, the bees, birds, flowers, trees, rivers, mountains, stars, the sun, your loving thoughts, your life. Love them wholeheartedly. But above all love yourself.

It all begins right here, right now, at home. Your home, your core, your heart, every beat of it. The love you are able to tap into from within. At any given moment in your life.

Try it! Reach in, as deep as you can and you will feel it’s inside. It has always been there, perhaps a bit dormant or latent, from time to time. Or a bit shy, but it has always been there, like a rosebud in spring. Waiting for the sun to shine upon it, to awaken it, so it may begin to unfold. Petal by petal, slowly, magnifying its glorious presence and beauty. Showering its blessings with its divine grace. Releasing its fragrance, infusing its surrounding with its intoxicating scent – no bee can ever resist the call. They become lovers at first sight, there is no doubt, it’s a dance of giving and receiving, so that life can go on.

Love is the prerequisite of life. Love and life cannot exist without each other. The cosmic dancer and his/her dance, it’s all about the love and life – Shakti and Shiva. The force that brings this universe to life and the source that sustains it. Day in, day out, the never-ending cosmic dance – with you, me, us – all of us dancers, moved by life, infused with love.

To surrender, is to rise on the wings of the force most precious throughout the whole existence of this universe. I bow down to you, my love.

I love the following thought that came by on this special morning: “I belong to no body and no thing in this world. No body and no thing belongs to me. Yet, I am always willing to surrender to Love. I am the undividable extension of your Love. You are the forever expansion of my Love. Therefore, I am you and you are me. I own you and you own me, but only in Love, through Love, and with Love.”  ❤️🙏

The Power of Nature Within

Mother and a child

Have you ever watched The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams? It’s a beautiful 1970ies series about a man who fled to the wilderness after being accused for something he never did. Being left on his own, with his newly found buddy grizzly bear Ben, he discovered his affection for wildlife, a deeper connection to nature and learned to find his ways in the wild. Adams ends up having an adventure of a lifetime. Through many struggles he found his peace, freedom, and happiness in harmony with nature within and nature outside.

Sleep, sleep peacefully, my precious child.
I hold you and you hold me.
We have a sacred bond,
you and me.

The loving force that wraps us in our sweet embrace
is held by the universe itself. There’s nothing to be done.
Simply
lean in and surrender.

Can you hear the hum? Shhh, listen… Open your heart and tune in to the all-pervading universal silent song, the rhythm of your breath – moving in moving out, expanding and contracting. Giving and receiving – the very best you can. Imagine you are part of the great cosmic dance.

Now imagine a tree of two merging trunks, roots below the ground, all intertwined. Above the ground, two very distinct halves of both trees grown together as one, branching out towards the sky. An anomaly? Perhaps not.

Many things we assume as anomalies happen in nature quite often. Nature is continuously reinventing itself. Exploring new ways, testing new forms. Where some fail, others succeed. Nature is daring, it’s continuously looking for new expressions, permutations, variations, bifurcations. Success no one can deny, for it has survived and thrived for billions of years and it’s still going as strong and fresh as ever.

The part of us, we call the Self or the soul is also a part of nature. This part of us cannot exist without its form – the form of the Self is accommodated for us by nature. The Self is the center of every form, it represents the form. It dwells inside – it is the seed of creation, of new life. When you observe nature, you notice the Self being expressed in in numerous shapes and forms. The Self always represents the core – the core of your heart (cor; Latin noun, meaning heart). Each of us begins a journey as that core of a seed.

Follow the rhythm that permeates this reality. Expansion, contraction – just like

your breathing – you breathe in and you breathe out. Your chest expands as you inhale, it contracts as you exhale. If you observe it carefully, you will notice there’s a similar pattern in nature – continuity of infinite ebbing and flowing of the whole existence, as if responding to silent music. The whole existence appears to be dancing in perfect harmony.

I call it the music of the universe. It moves in a very particular, harmonious rhythm. Going in, going out, rising – falling, beginning and ending. Life is in a continuous spiraling flow. For example – in appears in a form of water – raindrops fall, they get soaked by the earth. Grounds receive the water – earth expands. Comes dry season, water evaporates, returning back into the sky, morphing into cloud formations. What’s true for me – is that I am part of the Earth as I continue to contract and expand.

If the earth grounds are covered with woodland, you will notice how trees have the ability to capture the water, stopping it from evaporating. The water is absorbed by the tree roots, it gets pulled up the tree trunk by every branch, blossom, leaf and fruit of that tree. Seasons change – comes autumn and leaves drop, they dry away, water returns to the air, some gets soaked by the ground. During winter, when temperatures fall below the freezing point, the tree pulls its sap down, back to its roots, below the freezing point. When the water freezes in the ground, it expands through ice; comes spring it melts, it starts to flow again.

If you pause for a while and observe carefully, you will notice this flow, this beautiful pattern occurs all around us. Nature is as much within us as it is outside.

I think human beings are the most intricate part of nature; like the most radiant jewel in the crown. Even our memories seem to follow the same perpetual flow. We remember and we forget. You cannot blame yourself for that, because we all have an extra special gift so we can remind ourselves again and remember that we too are part of nature.

Our memories are stored in each cell of our body. Regardless of how far we have come or how disconnected we became. In fact, we can never get too far away. Our eyes open and close – they follow the same rhythm; we can all see and we can all feel. Our beautiful breaths, they are always in tune with the universal song of silence. Our cores, our heartbeats are drumming the same rhythm at least 100,000 times a day.

Next time when you catch yourself saying that you are out of tune, think twice. Could you possibly exist if that was true? Even the rock that appears static for the duration of our short but gloriously life span is continuously expanding and contracting, eventually becoming dust, so it can merge with the earth again.

The glacial rock dust carries millennia old imprints of time. It contains minerals and essential plant nutrients that dissolve into water and feed the roots of the trees, so the fruit of the tree gets all the required food and goodness to nourish you and me. Next time you bite into the apple, you will remember the incredible journey of that fruit. You will realize how precious the apple you are holding in your hands is – universe itself coming to greet you, by expanding and contracting.

A tree grows from the seed; it produces the fruit that contains the seed information of its mother tree. The journey, the song, the dance of a tree becomes the fruit that feeds you, so you can carry on dancing, appreciating life in all its forms, loving, caring, giving, receiving, supporting each other on this journey we all share. Always remember your ubiquitous source!

What a journey of self-discovery, I say!? All it takes is a simple bite of a scrumptiously delicious apple and it’s all there. The wisdom of the ages in one apple on the palm of your hand. Who on Earth could ever cook up a story of forbidden fruit? Perhaps it is forbidden because it holds the key to unlock the mystery of who we truly are. Reminding us, that we are the most beautiful, unique expression of the Self. Yes, that makes sense. The forbidden fruit of ignorance – but only if you never bite.

Everything happens between the moment you take your first inhale and the moment of your very last exhale. In-between those two defining moments are billions of breaths that you take, there are billions of moments for you to define who you truly are. Imagine the span of possibilities. Make the best use of the time that is given to you, life is the most precious gift you can get.

Breathe in and breath out, always remember the flow – notice the rhythm and keep on listening and dancing to the music that holds it all together.

Wear the sun in your heart,
and when you get tired,
let the rain tend to your soul.

Memories, Entanglement, and Free Flow

We cultivate memory as a means of continuance (Krishnamurti).

Krishnamurti goes on to say that without memories our property, ideas, friends, family would not matter as such.

By strengthening your memory muscle, you cultivate your ‘me’ and ‘mine’.

The gap between the two thoughts represents freedom from thought, freedom from ‘me’ and ‘mine’. Timeless space without any memories is important to cultivate, unless we want to become entangled in the events of life and afford ourselves no freedom.

Krishnamurti’s perspective on memory resonates. So, having assimilated his throughs, where do I stand? Where do I go from here?

What is the level, the intensity of attachments I have towards my stuff, my possessions, my home? My partner? My ideals, idea of achieving a life scenario I so intensely imagine?

By all means, one needs a certain level of thought intensity to live, and to achieve important goals in life that enable us to live our lives in comfort we desire & require. With least resistance and mind interference as possible. While doing least harm.

Once I have fulfilled my goal – either way I perceive it, as a failure or success – how willing and ready am I to let go, to drop it? How nimble am you, how quickly can I move on?

Dropping it and moving on, puts me back into the flow – I become that moment again. The potency of my level of success lies in between the two thoughts. How do I cultivate that to achieve my state of no thought – the state between the two thoughts? The silence between two notes when playing a piano.

In order to become freer, one has no choice but to first deal with any unresolved issues from the past. The things that lock your freedom and your potential is the memory of your past you hang on to and actively keep on bringing to the present, clogging up your current flow. Consciously and subconsciously. Do whatever you need to, to let go. Find the right help, or therapy, make sure you forgive, resolve, pay your dues, have that conversation or encounter you’ve been avoiding for many years, let go of the grudge, resentments, anger, and attachments. Let go, for your own good.

If you can, in your life, try to choose the unknown as often as possible. Start with little things, something you find comfortable. For example, some new food or flavor, a new kind of pen, different ink, the uncharted path in the forest, talk to the kind stranger in the shop. Challenge your comfort zone. Anything that counter balances the strength of your existing reality and dominance of your current thought patterns that add to your status quo.

All those small, conscious steps you make along the way contribute towards your greater freedom as you start widening and deepening the gap between the two thoughts. Slowly, slowly, you begin understanding what it means to become a creator of your own life, choosing your own fate, instead of living the assumed one.

Widen your gap, choose well, and may your life, and the life of those around you be blessed.

The Blade Forged in Fire

Blazing amber

Finest blades are forged in roaring heat of fire. The kind of fire that does not leave behind any impurities. All that is impure burns away.

Can you imagine yourself being in the fire that purifies and draws out any remaining residues that serve you no more.

A fierce, willing, peaceful warrior with a distinct sword is an image I’ve always been mysteriously drawn to. The blade formed of 33,000 layers, forge-welded to one another – it leaps, it slopes, and pivots in my hands as one single blade. Don’t ever be fooled based on a simple looking appearance. It often takes 33,000 layers for magnificence to take place.

Attraction happen! How and why?

The magnet gets pulled towards the iron because of the magnetic properties of the attractor. Both the attracted object and the magnet react, they respond by moving closer, until they connect. Reaction depends on the size of the iron and the potency and the size of the magnet. Magnets have their opposite poles – they also attract one another and can only be kept apart by the same force.

As a child, I was fascinated by these reactions and would spend hours playing with the elements. I was learning about the properties of iron, copper, lead, melting zinc, playing with the fire torch, molding the zinc into different shapes and forms. I was fascinated by the way different elements respond to various treatments. Observing electricity gave me an insight into the world of the precious current we managed to capture to harness the energy that brings inanimate objects to life.

Amongst all I had on disposal, my most favorite was mercury they used to put in thermometers. I would sneak out the thermometer from the first aid cupboards and break it on purpose, only to add a few more silver drops to my precious collection. I could spend hours being mesmerized by the mysterious ways mercury moves. Watching how it seamlessly merges together and the way it separates when teased out, how it responds to temperature, with all the qualities it imbibes.
Trying to figure it out. Trying to understand what it is that makes this world and keeps it all together? Relationships, bonds, attraction between multiple elements coming together to enrich their own experience? To enhance our experience?

I believe that the law of attraction is innate, unique to each particle, element, object, human being.

The law of attraction cannot be imposed, unless you do it by force, which always backfires and distorts the balance in this world, because its foundation depends on complete harmony and seamless flow.

Why do we get attracted to certain people, places, food, objects, sounds, sights, emotions, scents? What is the secret of attraction?

Why does the honey bee get so attracted to the cherry blossom in its prime? They seem to complete each other – one providing food and the other continuity of life. The whole dance appears to be an ecstasy for the hungry bee. One is hungry, the other in abundance and existential need. It all happens for the sake of the fruit; the new seed needs to take place. Nature does this endlessly, its goal is to produce zillions of seeds, knowing that not all of them are meant to sprout and grow into another apple bearing tree. Only a handful of the strongest that promise continuity survives and continue the course of evolution.

What about us? Human beings? Where does attraction come from? What is the “thing” that creates magnetism? Why do we respond the way we do?

Two magnets, their opposite poles, pulling them together – the force. It takes equal force to keep them apart. What is the secret of attraction?

Is it fusion that occurs between two light atoms bonding together to make a another one? For life to emerge, there needs to be fusion. To enable this wonderful perpetual show. It makes perfect sense.

There are endless expressions of the law of attraction in this universe. Everything coming together-moving away, drawing nearer-drifting apart. When you zoom in, it appears so. But if you zoom out you will only ever see everything coming together. Very slowly, barely possible to notice, but nevertheless, it’s all coming home.

The larger the expressions of the Self, the stronger the law of attraction with its pulling force, the bigger the ripple effect in the space they infuse with their presence. For the greater good? Why not. Knowing I am being my larger Self I’m happy to consciously participate in this game called life.

Infinity of 9

When we share the very best of ourselves we offer our greatest service and gift to this world.

I believe words have an immense power to capture our attention, touch and move our hearts, and transform the way we are as human being in this world. Just like a very special music and art. Your heart knows very well what I’m talking about.

I watched the beautiful story about a Man who chooses to live in full harmony with life the other day. His romance with numbers, with dolphins, fractals, patterns, flowers, connection to the wisdom of the infinity of possibilities, kindness of his heart, depth of his compassion moved my heart. His ability in staying grounded and humble despite all the riches of his brilliant mind. His understanding of life is profound.

It inspires me to think about the kind of art I choose to engage with. I expect nothing less from myself when it comes to what I am compelled to share with this world of infinite possibilities. Each moment is a choice, so let’s choose well my friends.

Thank you Michael.
