Inspired Opinions: Chat GPT

What is Chat GPT?

GPT (Generative Pre-training Transformer) is a type of language model developed by OpenAI that can generate human-like text. It is trained on a large dataset of human-generated text and is able to generate text in a variety of styles and formats. “Chat GPT” could refer to a chatbot that uses the GPT model as a basis for generating responses to user input. Chatbots are computer programs designed to engage in conversation with human users through text or voice interactions. They can be used for a variety of purposes, such as providing customer service, answering questions, or helping users find information. Chatbots that use GPT or other language models as a basis for generating responses can be especially useful for tasks that require a high level of natural language understanding and generation, such as language translation or content generation.

Chatbots that use GPT or other language models as a basis for generating responses can be useful for content creators in a number of ways. Here are a few examples:

  1. Generating content: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to generate content for a website or social media platform. For example, it could be used to write blog posts or social media posts in a particular style or on a specific topic.
  2. Answering questions: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to answer questions posed by users on a website or social media platform. This could be useful for content creators who want to provide quick and accurate responses to user inquiries, without having to devote a lot of time to answering individual questions.
  3. Providing inspiration: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to provide inspiration for content creators looking for ideas for their next project. For example, it could generate a list of potential topic ideas or prompts for writing.
  4. Automating tasks: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to automate certain tasks related to content creation, such as generating summaries of articles or creating social media posts from blog content. This could save content creators time and allow them to focus on more creative aspects of their work.

What a fascinating horizontal ability of a system to collect all the available information that’s ever been shared by humans across the world wide web. So far there hasn’t been group of geniuses in human form that could be able to achieve such integration – especially because each of them often comes with quite a strong ego 😊.  A team of e.g., 10 people can hardly ever work as 1 organism, but AI can – 100%. Artificial intelligence does not suffer from many human flaws.

Since I’ve worked in education since 2006, I can see incredible benefits if curious children are taught to use the tool properly and efficiently – so it helps expand their horizons and intellectual ability and not only using it to dodge the system. I see chat GPT as a great opportunity – because it will push the educational system to change and such powerful change could actually help shake up some edu systems that current struggle with obsolescence.

There’s no way that you can prevent school children from using the marvelous benefits of tools such as chat GPT. Now, the grown-ups could start coming up with genius strategies on how to best harvest all the advancements offered by the new AI.  What a great challenge to have. Encouraging learners/students by giving them fascinating questions, analyzing the answers, integrating them with critical thinking, encouraging creativity (music, arts & crafts, dance), coming up with new, original ideas, and conclusions, and challenging various thoughts of individual thinkers. Opening the time and space to leap into what humanity may need in the years to come. I think it would be a wonderful opportunity in addition to developing more enhanced cognitive skills while having more time & space to focus on emotional intelligence, health and well being, honing social skills, learning about the role and importance of nature – our planet, and so on.

Chatbots that use GPT or other language models as a basis for generating responses can be useful for educators in a number of ways. Here are a few examples:

  1. Providing additional support: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to provide additional support to students outside of class time. For example, it could answer questions about course material or provide additional explanations of difficult concepts.
  2. Assessing student understanding: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to assess student understanding of course material by posing questions and evaluating responses. This could provide educators with insights into student progress and areas where additional support may be needed.
  3. Generating personalized learning materials: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to generate personalized learning materials for students based on their specific needs and interests. For example, it could generate custom quiz questions or create personalized study guides.
  4. Enhancing online learning: A chatbot that uses GPT could be used to enhance online learning by providing a more interactive and engaging experience for students. For example, it could facilitate discussions or provide personalized feedback on assignments.

What do I think about Chat GPT as a poet and a writer?

There will still be a place for writers – those who are able to put their distinct originality and soul into what they share with the world. I’m not yet sure to what extent artificial intelligence is able to fabricate the likes of Khalil Gibran, Rabindranath Tagore, or Rumi. I am yet to discover that and I’ll keep an open mind. I know AI can easily put the work of Khalil, Tagore, and Rumi together, but it cannot make the 4th one. That’s the limitation of horizontal intelligence – it lacks vertical flow – the depth of an individual soulful expression cannot be artificially produced.

There are lots of organizations and individuals that have been doing exactly the same thing as this product. Not so broadly though. There are a few individuals who have researched particular topics for several decades of their life, have read hundreds of books and are now distilling that knowledge into their own bottles with a distinct flavor that may suit a certain group of population they are targeting and aiming to inspire. In many cases, they have done this work first and foremost for themselves – their own personal work. They can still continue doing so. With the support of AI, their work could become even more encompassing, profound, and enriching. Depends if their ability is about collecting data and putting it together or coming up with something original, a product that society and times are calling for.

There are several ways that chatbots that use GPT or other language models as a basis for generating responses can increase productivity:

  1. Automating tasks: Chatbots can be used to automate tasks that would otherwise be time-consuming or repetitive for humans. For example, a chatbot could be used to answer frequently asked questions, generate reports, or create summaries of documents. This can save time and allow humans to focus on more complex and high-value tasks.
  2. Enhancing communication: Chatbots can be used to facilitate communication and improve the flow of information within an organization. For example, a chatbot could be used to provide updates, send reminders, or facilitate group discussions. This can help to reduce the need for in-person meetings and improve the speed at which information is shared.
  3. Providing quick and accurate responses: Chatbots can provide quick and accurate responses to user inquiries, which can save time and improve the efficiency of an organization. For example, a chatbot could be used to answer customer questions or provide information to employees.
  4. Improving customer service: Chatbots can be used to improve customer service by providing fast and convenient access to information and assistance. This can help to reduce wait times and improve the overall customer experience.

I think chat GPS is an exciting step forwards because knowledge can no longer be limited to a handful of people but widely available to everyone with internet access. Capital investment firms have been utilizing AI for collecting data that traders and trading systems need to make investment decisions for quote some time now. Certain agencies have access to population data. Many similar systems are already in place, though they are very niche.

Is chat GPS data synthesis accurate?

The accuracy of chatbots that use GPT or other language models as a basis for generating responses depends on a number of factors, including the quality of the training data, the complexity of the tasks being performed, and the specific implementation of the chatbot.

In general, GPT and other language models are able to generate text that is quite similar to human-generated text, and they have been used to perform a wide range of language processing tasks with impressive results. However, like any machine learning model, they are not perfect and may sometimes generate responses that are inaccurate or unrelated to the input.

It is important to carefully evaluate the performance of any chatbot that uses GPT or other language models and to continuously monitor and improve its accuracy over time. In addition, it is important to use these models in an appropriate context and to ensure that they are used in a way that is transparent and fair to users.

Chat GPT is an excellent opportunity that encourages us to apply common sense while exercising our brains to analyze, synthesize and integrate generated information. A much needed shift from what we have been expected to do by the educational system that is still inclined towards memorizing data.

As chat GPT goes mainstream, I see a positive change –AI will be able to make decisions based on all our accumulated knowledge. Where humans often fail – for a variety of reasons; e.g., lack of access and lacking the ability to process vast terabytes of knowledge or having inbuilt biases that narrow their point of view – AI will succeed. This by itself is a great teaching for humanity. It might also be a reason for making us feel vulnerable. It will very likely uncover our many flaws.

Every coin has 2 sides. Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, but for now, I choose to focus on the positive one. Only time will tell – and with time I will continue expanding my point of view and share what inspires me next.

Horizontally, I can do that with the help of AI. When I combine that with vertical integration I add a very unique flavor, which is available only through me. And that’s what makes the difference. The intention.

The purpose of content creation is multifold. For me, writing is a process of self-discovery, a powerful tool for self-reflection. It allows me to draw out and process questions and answers I am able to do only when I fully engage in the process of writing. For now. I don’t see the rise of AI as something to fear, I see it as being complementary to all that I do. The AI may alter the ecosystem but it can’t change who I am or the role I play in this system. Only I can do that. When the intentions are clear there is no room for fear or misunderstanding about where the role of one ends and where the role of the other begins. That much is clear. 🤖👩‍💻

  1. Brigita thank you from the depth of my soul for putting words to how I feel about this tool… I’ve struggled to understand it’s place in my work and now YOUR words have given me grace to play with it with out mssing my authentic voice – much love and respect Joe

    1. I guess AI won’t be able to replace self generated insights based on one’s unique life experience. Unless you’ve been plugged in your entire life.
Or create amalgamation between the living, thinking minds and what unfolds as a result – in real-time.
There’s a place and space for everything, and if the intention is right it can be a powerful, useful tool for good. As with any other tool, all is possible in human hands. Let’s see how this churns out.
